An attorney and Licensed Master Social Worker — a rare combination that brings both legal precision and genuine compassion to every client relationship.
Kathleen Mary Wojciaczyk Rose, Esq., LMSW, has devoted her career to standing beside seniors and their families — first as a social worker, then as an attorney, and today as both.
Before opening her practice, Kathleen served as Director of Social Work at a skilled nursing facility on Long Island, where she advocated for patients, investigated compliance issues, guided families through care planning and discharge decisions, and educated staff and residents on insurance and benefit programs. For three years she lived the long-term care system from the inside — an experience few elder law attorneys can claim.
Remarkably, Kathleen earned her law degree and her Master of Social Work at the same time, while working — a testament to the determination she now brings to every client matter. During law school she was a three-time recipient of the Walter & Sidney R. Siben Fellowship and served in the Touro Law Center's Community Justice Center, the first law school incubator program on Long Island.
Her practice today focuses on elder law, Medicaid planning for both home care and nursing home care, estate planning, wills and trusts, and probate and estate administration. Clients describe her approach the same way: she listens first, explains everything in plain English, and treats every family's situation as if it were her own.
